Financial Reporting Quality Score
For each Income loan originator we check following things:
- Is financial report for 2019 available? Yes = 1 point
- Is financial report available in English? Yes = 1 point
- Is financial report audited by an international, reputable auditor? Yes = 1 point
- Is audit done according to International Financial Reporting Standards? Yes = 1 point
- Is loan originator providing at least 2x reports per year? Yes = 1 point
Note that this score reflects only the reporting quality, but not the financial performance. This score can be used to check, how much you can trust the data reported and if it is low, potentially exclude loan originator from further research.
- 0 - no annual report available
- 1 to 3 - reporting quality is low
- 4 - reporting quality is good
- 5 - reporting quality is great
Income Loan Originators - Financials
For each Income loan originator we go through financial reports and extract following metrics:
- Profit
- Assets (Equity + Debt)
- Equity (Shareholder Funds)
- Debt (Liabilities)
- Debt to Equity - a measure of the degree to which a company is financing its operations through debt versus shareholder funds
- Group Guarantee - if company is part of a larger group, is there a Group Guarantee?
- FRQS = Financial Reporting Quality Score, based on last annual report
We apply colors to Debt to Equity ratio based on following scale:
- 0.0 to 2 - underfinanced
- 2.1 to 4 - conservative
- 4.1 to 6 - moderate
- 6.1 to 8 - aggressive
- 8+ - high risk
